У 2021 році Україна зайняла 4 місце по обсягу транзакцій з криптографічними активами, а у грудні 2020 року увійшла до десятки країн, що отримали найбільший заробіток від продажу біткоїну, хоча незважаючи на таке активне поширювання криптової валюти досі відсутній її об’єкт оподаткування та правовий статус в Україні до кінця не визначений.
