The project contains a description of the technological process in which the belt conveyor takes part, its purpose and place in the technological scheme are considered. The technical characteristics are given, the design and the principle of operation of the belt conveyor are considered, parametric, kinematic and calculations on the strength of bearings and belts are performed, which confirm the efficiency and reliability of the machine design. Literary - patent search of belt conveyor constructions is made in order to choose the option of scraper modernization. Modernization is chosen, which is a change in design, the introduction of new elements, which increases the reliability of the tensioning device and improves the performance of the conveyor as a whole.
