The project contains a description of the technological process in which the extruder participates, its purpose and place in the technological scheme are considered. The paper provides technical characteristics, considered the design and principle of operation of the extruder, performed parametric, kinematic and calculations for the strength of the mandrel of the extruder in the ANSYS system, which confirm the efficiency and reliability of the machine. A literary-patent search of the extruder head designs was made in the project in order to select the modernization of the forming head. As a result of the search, the modernization of the forming head with screw grooves from 8 pcs. in the mandrel of the modernized machine.
