The diploma project includes a review of scientific and technical literature on logistics and economic forecasting. Prospects for software use in the field of logistics are shown. The research results regarding commodity demand forecasting methods, on the basis of past demand data (in the form of a database), as well as the results of calculation of deviations for the forecasting method are presented. The forecasting methods are compared in the context of an actual functioning enterprise and optimal solutions for its particular case are suggested.
