Розділ «Філологія» Статтю присвячено поданню загальної характеристики онімних одиниць в американському варіанті сучасної англійської мови на фактичному матеріалі власних назв ресторанних закладів США із фокусуванням на окремих структурних аспектах аналізованої вибірки номінацій, сформованої на основі тематичних онлайн-баз і реєстрів. З’ясовано значущість такого виду онімів для сучасної американської комунікативної спільноти, за структурним критерієм виокремлено групи і типові для них моделі вибраних власних назв, проаналізовано їх кількісну репрезентацію. Abstract. The article discusses the general characteristic of onymic units in modern American English based on the proper names of the US restaurant establishments with a particular focus on the structure aspects of the nominations sample formed by means of thematic online databases and registers. The paper reveals the significance of this onymic type units for the modern American community and distinguishes the groups and their corresponding typical word-building models according to the structural criterion.
