Qualification work is devoted to the study of theoretical foundations and methodological provisions of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union, their prospects for intensification. The concept and meaning of cooperation between states and integration associations are defined. Types and forms of cooperation between states and integration associations are studied. The state of trade cooperation between Ukraine and the EU and aspects of investment and humanitarian cooperation between Ukraine and the EU were assessed. The main obstacles to intensifying cooperation between Ukraine and the EU have been identified.
