The monograph is devoted to the analysis of modern foreign and domestic theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of the military identity of Ukrainians. The influence of historical and cultural factors on the formation of the military identity of Ukrainians is characterized; the features of identity in the era of postmodernism, the psychological features of postmodern war are defined, the course of historical, cultural and collective trauma in its connection with military identity is outlined, the key directions of the formation of military identity of children and adolescents in the context of the educational system of countries that have experienced modern wars are defined.
