The publication presents the results of the analytical-declarative stage of the scientific study "Pedagogical management of the development of educational and cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren", which is carried out by the Department of Primary Education named after O.Ya. Savchenko of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The results of the study of the organization of the educational process in primary school under martial law conditions are highlighted; peculiarities of the educational activities of junior high school students in view of the achievement of the results outlined by normative documents for primary education; recommendations are provided for optimizing the content of primary education taking into account the conditions of martial law.
