Зазначено, що посилення уваги у різноаспектних працях до цих текстів пояснюється активним впровадженням в освітній процес дисциплін, спрямованих на розвиток аналітичного та творчого мислення, комунікативних навичок, формування естетичного світовідчуття тощо. У розвідці розглянуто основні наукові праці, у яких здійснена спроба пошуку вичерпної дефініції термінів, створення типологій та класифікацій, визначення мети і завдань. Визначено, що сучасні дослідники під рецензією розуміють критичний аналіз наукового джерела (джерел), розрахований на фахівців і створений автором тієї ж галузі. У статті доведено важливість відгуку як праці, що сприяє об’єктивній оцінці результатів наукового дослідження. Наголошено подібність структурних та змістових елементів рецензії та відгуку. The article is devoted to understanding the specifics of review and opponent’s review as integral elements of the scientific and literary-critical genre system. It is noted that the increased attention to them in multi-aspect intelligence is explained by the active introduction into the educational process of disciplines aimed at the development of analytical and creative thinking, communication skills, the formation of an aesthetic worldview, etc. The main scientific works were considered, in which an attempt was made to find a comprehensive definition of terms, to create typologies and classifications, and to determine the purpose and tasks of the texts. It is determined that contemporary researchers understand a critical analysis of a scientific source (sources) by review, designed for specialists and created by the author of the same field. The article proves the importance of opponent’s review as work, which contributes to the objective assessment of the results of scientific research.
