The Kyivan liturgical calendar of the early modern period was in a constant state of change. In turn, its contents was being influenced by the course of the Church’s history. Activities filled the calendar with Ukrainian and Russian holiday feasts, both when the Kyivan Metropolitan was under the law of the Patriarch of Constantinople, and later when it was under the rule of the Patriarch of Moscow and, finally, the Holy Synod. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-09 Close
