Крім ризик-менеджменту, необхідно також провести порівняльний аналіз методів оцінки ризиків СК. Одним із таких методів є тест на толерантність до ризику (оцінка стресостійкості). СК має використовувати цей тест як один з методів управління ризиками для визначення ризику настання ймовірних подій щодо фінансового стану страховика. Він допомагає оцінити не тільки рівень збитків, а й чи зможе компанія їх покрити власними силами (капіталом).
