Ключова увага приділена також визначним постатям, які мали зв'язок з Католицькою церквою, та найбільше спричинилися до вирішення конфлікту, таких, як Джон Хʼюм, чи папа Іван-Павло II. Також розглянуто становалення і перебіг шляху примирення двох націй в конфлікті. This paper examines the contribution of the Catholic Church to the peacemaking process between both sides in the Northern Ireland conflict, as well as the role of the Church in its course. The work focuses on the activities of the Church and its influence in time from the beginning to the end of "The Troubles" 1960-1990. Key attention is also paid to notable figures who had a connection with the Catholic Church and most contributed to the resolution of the conflict, such as John Hume or Pope John Paul II.
