The study examines the process of formation of the doctrine of "just war" in the history of the Church and its modern reinterpretation in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war in the form of the concept of a just peace. The historical development of this teaching is revealed. A study of the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation was conducted, starting with the Revolution of Dignity - the civilizational choice of Ukrainians.
