Настільки важлива роль обумовлена особливою функцією банку, тобто функцією його основного фінансового посередника, забезпечувати передачу грошових ресурсів між різними економічними суб'єктами і тим самим забезпечувати потребу в кредитних коштах, які є необхідними умовами для функціонування. Така ситуація в банках вимагає від них збільшення обсягу та оптимізації структури власного капіталу. Капітал банку становить основу діяльності будь-якої банківської установи, в результаті чого банк отримує прибуток, створює позитивний імідж і підвищує довіру учасників ринку. У сучасних умовах, коли фінансова криза торкнулася всіх банківських установ світу, найважливішим завданням оптимізації банківської діяльності є забезпечення ефективного формування та збільшення власного банківського капіталу. Effective functioning of the economy of any country and the world economy as a whole is ensured mainly due to the efficient operation of the banking system. Such an important role is due to the special function of the bank, i.e. the function of its main financial intermediary, to ensure the transfer of monetary resources between various economic entities and thereby ensure the need for credit funds, which are necessary conditions for functioning. Such a situation in banks requires them to increase the volume and optimize the structure of their own capital. The capital of the bank is the basis of the activity of any banking institution, as a result of which the bank earns a profit, creates a positive image and increases the confidence of market participants.
