Розглядається поняття хоррору в сучасному літературному дискурсі та особливості перекладу готичного хоррору. Ми акцентуємо увагу на розмитості визначення самого поняття жанру хоррор. Дослідження свідчить, що навіть саме поняття жанру складно визначити, адже воно містить широкий спектр так званих піджанрів, які вочевидь складно вмістити в одне визначення поняття жанр. The article is dedicated to the specifics of the horrific representing in the proccess of horror literary works translation, based on the example of Gothic horror. The concept of horror in contemporary literary discourse and the peculiarities of translating gothic horror are considered. We focus on the vagueness of the definition of the very concept of the horror genre. The study shows that even the concept of genre itself is difficult to define, as it contains a wide range of so-called subgenres, which are obviously difficult to fit into one definition of genre. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-12 Close
