Так, за даними Директора Європолу, в країнах Європи у криптовалюті переводиться близько 4% всіх доходів, одержаних злочинним шляхом. Така ситуація не могла залишитись поза увагою законодавства країн ЄС і, як наслідок, останніми роками у країнах ЄС було розроблено достатню кількість нормативно-правових, методичних, організаційнороз’яснювальних документів, в тому числі й у сфері фінансово-правового регулювання криптовалюти. Cryptocurrency in today's conditions has gained significant distribution and acts as a tool for moving value beyond state supervision. Thus, according to the Director of Europol, in European countries, about 4% of all income obtained through criminal means is transferred in cryptocurrency.
