Ukraine's agriculture, vital to its economy, is challenged by war. Small producers and large agribusinesses differ in market access, technology, and financial resources. Small producers, focusing on local markets and self-sufficiency and using 45% of agricultural land in 2021, produce the most of plant and animal production for internal consumption in Ukraine.
