С. Кузнеця Description The statistic material about the attraction of foreign capital into the economy of Ukraine and Kharkov region is studied in the article. The characteristics of the stages of investment activity in Ukraine during 1991 – 2009 years is given. The number of scientific studies about the investment activity are analized. The aspects of foreign capital attraction and the importance and role of investments in conditions of global financial crisis are suggested for the first time.
