Простежено історію формування амбівалентного жіночого образу — одночасно ідеалізованого та інструменталізованого. Окреслено ключові напрями феміністичної критики персоніфікацій нації як жінки, зокрема їхню здатність репродукувати патріархальні уявлення. На основі проведеного аналізу запропоновано поняття «псевдоагентність» для опису специфіки цих візуальних наративів. Дослідження зосереджено на тому, як персоніфікації, що виникли після початку повномасштабного вторгнення Росії, поєднують емансипативні мотиви з відтворенням традиційних патріархальних структур. Такий підхід дозволяє виявити амбівалентну природу сучасного націоналістичного образотворення та проаналізувати інструменталізацію жіночих візуальних образів у монументальному мистецтві. This study presents a critical analysis of the feminine personifications of Ukraine depicted in murals created between 2022 and 2024. It traces the historical formation of the ambivalent female image — both idealized and instrumentalized. The paper outlines key directions of feminist critique of the nation-as-woman personifications, emphasizing their capacity to reproduce patriarchal notions. Based on the conducted analysis, the concept of “pseudo-agency” is proposed to describe the specific nature of these visual narratives. The research focuses on how the personifications that emerged after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion combine emancipatory motifs with the reproduction of traditional patriarchal structures. This approach reveals the ambivalent nature of contemporary nationalist imagery and examines the instrumentalization of female visual representations in monumental art. popup.nrat_date 2025-08-18 Close
