Розглянуто питання авторства, хронології та редакційної історії текстів, уточнено проблематику ототожнення Святого Діонісія. Зіставлено образи святих покровителів Парижа, акцентуючи на символічній репрезентації постаті Женев’єви як захисниці міста і постаті Діонісія як мученика-покровителя. Робота актуальна не лише для філологів, але й для дослідників агіографії, медієвістики, історії християнства та середньовічної літератури. The work provides a textual analysis of the Latin hagiographic works of the V– VI centuries – «The Life of St. Genevieve» and «The Passion of St. Dionysius, Rusticus and Eleutherius». The authorship, chronology, and editorial history of the texts are considered, and the problem of the identification of St. Dionysius is clarified. The author compares the images of the patron saints of Paris, focusing on the symbolic representation of Genevieve as the defender of the city and Dionysius as the patron martyr.
