Белевець Ксенія Сергіївна. Relevance of the Topic.Aerial vehicles are used in many spheres of modern human activity. Hybrid aircraft such as thermoplanes and airships are employed for atmospheric research, cargo transportation, patrolling and surveillance, firefighting, and military applications—such as for radio communication and signal relay. This work examines a variation in the design of the orientation system of a thermoplane, which ensures control over its spatial positioning. Thanks to modern engineering solutions and the latest software tools in the field of aviation, it is now possible to develop components optimized in terms of structure. One of the key challenges is the need to reduce the machine’s weight; therefore, this thesis explores a design in which several support shafts are replaced with a single one. Connection to Scientific Programs and Research Plans. This thesis project was completed at the Department of Machine Design of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute,” in accordance with the research work plans of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Research Objective: To create a design for correcting the position of a thermoplane according to the criterion of minimum weight in order to improve the dynamic performance of the mechanism. Research Tasks: 1. Study of existing solutions and methods for calculating key technical parameters. 2. Development of the main concept, calculation of necessary parameters, and modeling of the mechanism in a CAD environment. 3. Simulation of stress-strain state and dynamic analysis of the mechanism’s operation. 4. Selection of technological tooling for the manufacturing of assembly parts. Object of Research: The design of the thermoplane’s orientation system and the engineering-technological solutions for its fabrication. Subject of Research: Design of the components of the thermoplane’s spatial orientation system and its technological tooling. Research Methods: Study of various technical approaches; use of ideageneration techniques such as brainstorming; conducting system analysis and selecting the best options based on defined criteria; modeling of structure, individual components, and overall appearance of the product using modern software for design, simulation, and production preparation. Scientific Novelty of the Results: The core idea lies in the creation of a mechanism node based on the criterion of minimum weight and improved dynamic characteristics.
