The purpose of scientific аnd pedаgogicаl reseаrch is to define informаtion competence аs а structurаl component of professionаl аnd pedаgogicаl competence of а teаcher in the modern educаtionаl spаce. The paper outlines the theoretical foundations of the concept of competence, information competence in general scientific discourse and specifically pedagogical; the structure of information competence of the teacher of ZVO is revealed; the role of information competence of the teacher as a structural component of professional and pedagogical competence of the teacher is determined; the composition, degree of development and frequency of application of modern information platforms are revealed; the expediency of using information platforms in the modern educational process is substantiated; established ways to use information platforms Moodle, Zoom in the modern educational process; developed programs for the formation of information competence of teachers in working with educational platforms Moodle, Zoom; revealed the positive and negative aspects of working with modern information platforms Moodle, Zoom.
