The paper analyzes the state of the investigated problem in scientific and pedagogical research; the essence of research concepts has been clarified; the regulatory and legal principles of the organization of the educational process using distance learning technologies were revealed; criteria for students' adaptation to the conditions of asynchronous learning are defined; the difficulties of students' adaptation to the conditions of asynchronous learning were investigated; methodical recommendations on the adaptation of students to the conditions of asynchronous learning in a higher education institution have been developed.
