Збереження продуктивності кролів м′ясо-шкуркових порід є глобальною проблемою, оскільки генофонд, представлений малочисельними, локальними та оборигенними породами знаходиться під постійним натиском порід промислового значення. Відзначається поступове витіснення відчизняних порід з традиційних зон їх розведення шляхом застосування схрещування з більш продуктивними типами і породами, або ж фізична ліквідація поголів’я (забій) та заміна іншим, сучасними породами. У процесі зникненням аборигенних порід кролів втрачаються і цінні, притаманні їм господарсько корисні ознаки, обумовлені тривалою еволюцією цих порід. У їх числі, перш за все відмінна пристосованість до технічно-господарсько умов, стійкість до певних захворювань, унікальні якісні характеристики продукції. The gradual displacement of non-native breeds from the traditional areas of their breeding by the use of crossbreeding with more productive types and breeds, or the physical elimination of livestock (slaughter) and replacement by other, modern breeds, is noted. In the process of the disappearance of aboriginal breeds of rabbits, the valuable economic and useful characteristics characteristic of them, due to the long evolution of these breeds, are also lost. Among them, first of all, excellent adaptability to technical and economic conditions, resistance to certain diseases, unique quality characteristics of products. The work is devoted to the study of the productivity of rabbits of meat and skin breeds of different sexes and ages.
