Показано, що лісові насадження у степу представлені декількома типами лісових урочищ, зокрема, це діброви на вододілах, байрачні ліси, березово осинові гаї на пісках та у западинах, соснові бори на пісках, осинники у зниженнях, заплавні ліси тощо. Вони формуються там, де складаються ґрунтово-підґрунтові умови, що відповідають їхнім екологічним потребам. Проаналізовано стан лісокультурної діяльності лісового господарства Петриківське. Показано, що значну частину лісокультурного фонду становлять нелісові землі – пустища та невгіддя. На основі проведених досліджень надано пропозиції щодо вибору оптимальних елементів технології створення лісових культур The dissertation analyzes sources of scientific information about the conditions for the spread of forest plantations in steppe conditions. It is shown that natural forests in the steppe are represented by several types of forest plantations, in particular, oak forests on watersheds, ravine forests, birch-aspen groves on sands and depressions, pine forests on sands, floodplain forests, etc. They are formed where soil conditions exist that meet their environmental needs. The state of forestry activities of the Petrikivsky forestry enterprise is analyzed. It is shown that a significant part of the forest fund consists of non-forest lands - wastelands and wastelands.
