У 2021 р. на ялівцях козацькому та китайському було зареєстровано дев’ять видів шкідників. Сім видів пошкоджували хвою та гілки, а два вида – кореневу систему. Одним з найнебезпечніших шкідників ялівцю козацького у період досліджень була європейська ялівцева щитівка (Carulaspis juniperi Bouche), яка завдавала шкоду рослинам протягом всього вегетаційного періоду. Європейська ялівцева щитівка з’явилася у травні, чисельність її на ялівцях у 2021 р. стрімко зростала з травня по серпень і у серпні набула максимальних значень – 45 екз./10 см гілки. Заселеність ялівця козацького європейською ялівцевою щитівкою менша в поодиноких посадках, бо умови для розвитку шкідника менш сприятливі, ніж у групових посадках, а саме: краща провітрюваність, освітленість. Технічна ефективність захисту від європейської ялівцевої щитівки методом ґрунтового внесення інсектициду Актара, 25 % в.г. склала 86,7% на 14 добу після обприскування. The study of the European juniper scab and measures to protect against it were carried out in the conditions of LLC "Agroflora" of the Kharkiv district of the Kharkiv region. In 2021, nine types of pests were registered on Cossack and Chinese junipers. Seven species damaged needles and branches, and two species damaged the root system. One of the most dangerous pests of Cossack juniper during the research period was the European juniper scale (Carulaspis juniperi Bouche), which caused damage to plants throughout the growing season. The European juniper scale appeared in May, its number on junipers in 2021 increased rapidly from May to August and in August reached maximum values - 45 specimens/10 cm of branch. The population of the Cossack juniper with the European juniper scale is less in single plantings, because the conditions for the development of the pest are less favorable than in group plantings, namely: better ventilation, lighting.
