У роботі розглянуті біологічні та екологічні характеристики видів роду Cornus L., зокрема їх адаптація до міських умов, декоративні якості, а також економічні аспекти використання цих рослин у озелененні. Виконано аналіз літературних джерел, польові дослідження, а також економічний аналіз витрат на посадку та догляд за рослинами. Встановлено, що види роду Cornus L. є перспективними для використання в озелененні міських територій завдяки їх високій декоративній цінності, здатності до адаптації в умовах міського середовища та помірним витратам на догляд. На основі отриманих даних розроблено практичні рекомендації щодо висадки, догляду та розмноження видів Cornus L. у зелених зонах Харкова. The qualification work is devoted to researching the possibilities and effectiveness of the use of species of the genus Cornus in the conditions of the urban environment. The paper examines the biological and ecological characteristics of species of the genus Cornus L., in particular their adaptation to urban conditions, decorative qualities, as well as economic aspects of the use of these plants in landscaping. An analysis of literary sources, field research, as well as an economic analysis of costs for planting and caring for plants was performed. It has been established that species of the genus Cornus L. are promising for use in landscaping urban areas due to their high decorative value, ability to adapt to urban environments, and moderate maintenance costs.
