The work analyzes the state of research on the problem of developing cultural competence in psychological and pedagogical science and practice; reveals the essence and structure of cultural competence in primary school pupils; identifies the key features of developing cultural competence; methodological recommendations are developed for the formation of cultural competence in primary school students in the process of artistic creativity; pedagogical conditions for the formation of cultural competence in primary school students in the process of artistic creativity are substantiated.
