Database of availability of genetic material of gene pool object of Ukraine (3000 head) and information database to create the catalogues of evaluated bulls of local and endangered breeds ("Reserve gene pool") of breeding enterprises and farms of Ukraine for reproduction of breeding stock (300 head) were formed. Conceptual bases of functioning cattle gene pool objects using the stratified database about availability of genetic material in the system of livestock biodiversity was highlighted.
