The purpose of research is to solve the contradiction between increasing the number of motor vehicles in cities and necessity of reducing the pollution by harmful emissions from vehicles based on the construction of mathematical models and software for forecasting the pollution of urban areas and the development of methods for regulating the environmental situation. Results of work and their novelty: new methods of structure and parameter identification of difference operators on the basis of interval data, which, in contrast to existing ones, provide finding of tolerance corridors the fields of concentration of harmful emissions and include adaptive adjustment of the procedure for finding the structure and parameters of the difference operator, which reduces the computational complexity their implementation; new mathematical models in the form of interval difference operators, which with guaranteed accuracy predict the processes of dispersion the harmful emissions from vehicles in the atmosphere.
