The purpose of the research - is to develop the clear rules with guidence which would determine analytical methods use in that cases when it is already insufficient to use only the classic gemology instruments during gemological research. Practical application - "system" which is indicated in the title, includes the criteria for the applicability of instrumental analytical methods for studying the chemical composition and properties of precious, semi-precious and decorative stones, primarily those available at SGCU (X-ray fluorescence, infrared-Fourier spectroscopy, optical photometry, and others). On the basis of the criteria of the applicability of instrumental analytical methods, a normative document was developed, which would serve as a regulation of "preventive actions" in the quality management system of the research laboratory of SGCU.
