Registration Date 14-02-2023 Organization Institut of Land Use NAAS Ukraine popup.description2  In the conditions of the transformation of land relations in Ukraine, one of the most urgent issues is the improvement of approaches to land redistribution in order to optimize the structure of agricultural land ownership and land use. Among the possible mechanisms in domestic and foreign practice, one of the key ones is land exchange. In particular, the implementation of equal exchange deserves special attention in light of the prospects of involving landowners in large-scale measures to regulate fragmented land holdings and land uses. Based on the study of the degree of consideration of the factors that exert the greatest influence on the equal exchange of agricultural land plots in modern socio-economic conditions, an improved calculation formula is proposed within the existing methodology. The technical indicators characterizing the main influencing factors in terms of existing approaches to land exchange have been defined and substantiated. The main approaches to solving the problem of natural afforestation of agricultural lands are highlighted. It is proposed to transfer forested agricultural land plots to the forest fund based on the results of the exchange and redistribution of land plots. Consolidation of land in conditions of natural afforestation is implemented on the example of several land massifs in the Chernihiv region, Ukraine. As a result of the implementation of the project, the configuration and placement of agricultural land plots, optimization of the placement of field roads and reduction of their length were achieved; the forest fund includes forested agricultural land within the land massif.
