Registration Date 31-12-2023 Organization V.P. Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The development of methods for the synthesis of nano-sized objects with different chemical structures and the identification of the mechanisms of action of small concentrations of nanoclusters on the oxidation processes of individual liquid substances and practically important liquid petroleum products with molecular oxygen. Research methods – synthetic methods of obtaining carbon nanoclusters, metal clusters and metal complex compounds; elemental chemical analysis; optical and electron microscopy; Raman and IR spectroscopy; volumetric method of studying oxidation kinetics of model compounds; tribological studies of the influence of nanoscale additives on the properties of components of liquid motor fuels. Current ideas about the influence of small concentrations of spherical nanoclusters on the kinetic laws and mechanisms of chemical transformations of hydrocarbon liquid substances during oxidation by molecular oxygen are considered. Examples of various variants of the possible structure of supramolecular structures around nanoparticles are given. Samples of nanoscale objects of different chemical structure (carbon spheroidal nanoclusters and metal complex compounds) were developed. Chemical analysis and structural studies of the selected samples were carried out using the methods of IR and CR spectroscopy, electron microscopy, and X-ray structural analysis. Kinetic studies of the influence of synthesized and selected nano-sized objects on the initial stages of oxidation of model liquid substances and biofuels were carried out using the volumetric method. It is shown that depending on the concentration of nanoparticles, the direction of their action on the rate of oxidation can change - from inhibition to acceleration of oxidation processes.
