The purpose of the work is to improve the operational properties of wheeled vehicles with promising power plants by choosing rational parameters of their design. The research methods included mathematical modeling of the movement of wheeled vehicles with promising power plants, multivariate calculations of indicators of their operational properties and working processes of components. The analysis of the results of the study of the maneuverability and stability of the movement of three-link road trains of the B-triple type was carried out and recommendations for their improvement were developed. Approximations of the high-speed external characteristics of a diesel light commercial vehicle (LCV) were carried out, and a methodology was developed for assessing the influence of the compression ratio of a gas engine on the parameters of a cargo gas cylinder vehicle in operational conditions. Experimental studies of controllability and stability of the physical model of the car were conducted. Ways to reduce the external noise level of military armored vehicles by using a complex resonator muffler for the noise of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines are proposed.
