The methods of the study - generally accepted methods of hydrochemical, hydrobiological and ichthyologic research were used. The analysis of the past information on the state of the reservoir was done and a review of the methods of rehabilitation of water reservoirs was prepared. The analysis of the current hydrochemical, hydrobiological and ichthyologic state of Pechenegy reservoir is done. The main principles of enhancing the fish stock and regulation of fisheries at Pechenegy reservoir were elaborated. The limits for fish catch were calculated and recommendations on monitoring of fish stock were prepared. A scientific biological background for the regime of exploitation of fish stock at Pechenegy reservoir was developed. A technical state of Pechenegy reservoir was analyzed and the ways for its improvement were proposed.
