The matrices of financial strategies of enterprise have been adapted to the features of insurer’s activity, which reduces the level of errors in the implementation of strategic financial analysis during the formation of insurance company’s financial strategy. The foreign and domestic experience in the sphere of strategic financial management by insurer has been studied, which provides detection of prospects of company’s development through the introduction of international achievements in management practices in the insurance sector of Ukraine. The approaches to evaluation of strategic financial management have been generalized and the appropriateness of using of rating evaluation under conditions of information asymmetry and insufficient development of the financial market has been grounded. In order to improve the strategic financial management of insurer in Ukraine the implementation of securitization of motor insurance securitization risks taken by domestic insurance companies and adaption of some principles of Islamic insurance model in the context of formation, distribution and use of insurer’s financial resources have been proposed; the model of decentralized strategic financial management of regional subsidiary has been worked out, which provides mobility of insurer’s financial resources and increasing of its value.
