The aim is to identify and evaluate the parameters of traveling ionospheric disturbances over Ukraine during natural and artificial disturbances in the atmosphere and the ionosphere using the incoherent scatter radar and the ionosonde, as well as to compare these parameters with the model and the theoretical results. Research methods are ground-based radio physical techniques of incoherent scatter and vertical radio sounding, statistical methods for signal analysis. The results of studies of traveling ionospheric disturbances over Ukraine are given. The parameters of these disturbances, caused by the moving of acoustic gravity waves during the effect on the atmosphere and the ionosphere of high-energy processes of natural and artificial origin (variations of space weather, solar eclipse, the passage of the solar terminator, rocket launches and flight, a powerful radio emission, and so on.). Results of this study can be used in fundamental research of space weather, solar-terrestrial relations, the near-Earth environment, interaction of meteorological and space weather systems, as well as for applications associated with the effect of traveling ionospheric disturbances on the telecommunication system, geopositioning, radiolocation and radionavigation, the operation of the satellite facility in outer space.
