Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The fundamental studies of plant growth regulatory activity of synthetic derivatives of 6-methyl-2-mercapto-4-hydroxypyrimidine sodium and potassium salts (Methyur and Kametur), N-oxide-2,6-dimethylpyridine (Ivin), imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine, oxazole and [1,3]oxazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidine, pyrazole were conducted. It was found that chemical compounds in concentrations of 10-6М - 10-9М revealed a high stimulating effect on the growth and development of barley, chickpea, sorghum, sunflower and tomato plants in the laboratory conditions, as well as on increase of the yield of sorghum plants in the field conditions. It is shown that the growth regulatory activity of synthetic compounds depends on their chemical structure, as well as on the species and variety of plants.
