The following research methods were used: parasitological (scatoscopic, entomological, determining extense- and intense effectiveness of preparations); epizootological (determining prevalence and infection intensity, age and seasonal dynamics); hematological; morphometric; microscopic; zoo-technical; and statistical. New data as to sheep malophagosis spreading on farms of Forest-Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine were presented in the paper. It has been revealed that melophagosis develops more often in two-component sheep invasions of in associations with digestive organs’ strongylatoses, eimeriosis, and trichurosis. For the first time in Ukraine, new data were obtained concerning morphometric parameters of post-embryo and imaginal stages of Melophagus ovinus parasitic insects’ development. The improved method of differential diagnosing males and females of Melophagus ovinus bloodsuckers was developed and proposed. This method provides high effectiveness of diagnosing the insects’ sex dimorphism. New data were received concerning the effect of melophages on sheep fleshing. It has been established that in diseased young animals, the infection is accompanied by retarded growth and development (to 25.04%). The therapeutic effectiveness of various medicinal preparations (brovomectin 1% for injections, sebacil 50%, and univerm at different methods and times of application) for sheep melophagosis treatment was determined. High effectiveness of twice brovomectin 1% injecting was registered (ЕЕ, ІЕ – 100.0 %). Product Description popup.authors Borodai Yevheniia O Melnychuk Vitalii V popup.nrat_date 2021-03-17 Close
