The work includes a set of theoretical, analytical, experimental, and applied studies aimed at improving approaches to hydrological calculations during the design, construction, and operation of public roads. Current climatic trends and regional characteristics of storm precipitation and flood runoff formation in Ukraine have been analyzed. Methods for processing hydrometeorological information have been improved, allowing for increased reliability in determining maximum design water flows under conditions of a limited observational database. Methodological approaches have been developed to account for the processes of accumulation and transformation of flood waves, the confluence of multiple watercourses, the redistribution of runoff between adjacent watersheds, as well as the influence of natural and artificial control elements.
