The relevance of the project is based on the fact that lipid membranes of membrane-containing viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, are still studied insufficiently. In particular, it is not known if lipid components of viral particles could be targeted by the drugs and whether it is possible to achieve selectivity of such targeting by utilizing different physical properties of viral and cell membranes.
