Registration Date 04-04-2022 Organization National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" popup.description1 The aim of the work is to create and study the effectiveness of innovative combined plasma chemical technologies for storage and transportation of agricultural products based on modified barrierless plasma chemical reactors. To such technologies are included as technology of ozone generation by gas discharges in air and technology of direct use of low-temperature plasma for the oxidation of hydrocarbons in the air, which can act as "phytohormones", such as ethylene. Energy-efficient production of bactericidal reagents, such as ozone, active radicals and others is realized under conditions of gas discharge of atmospheric pressure. The use of a gas mixture with a high content of active particles (including ozone) can effectively inhibit the development of pathogenic microflora. However, high concentrations lead to surface damaging of fruit and vegetable products. Different vegetables and fruits have different sensitivities to ozone and active particles, due to the different structure of the surface layers. In this case, each type of fruit and vegetables has a different sensitivity to phytohormones and a different rate of emission of phytohormones, which significantly depends on other storage parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.).
