Development of effective methods for the selective extraction of such main valuable components as cobalt, nickel, graphite, copper, aluminum, titanium, and purified graphite from used lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and their hybrids with supercapacitors (HSCs). In addition, extraction or conversion of lithium compounds into a safe form, since lithium residues in such power sources can cause fire and explosion, especially when storing batteries in open dumps.
