The purpose of the mentioned work of the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology of the IMFE of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is to study, taking into account the data of related sciences, the problems of the Ukrainian musical process in the conditions of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, various components of Ukrainian musical culture of the 1940s–1950s, the formation of as complete and more objective ideas about them at the source-scientific and conceptual levels, which is a condition for including the conclusions of the scientific development of the author's team of musicologists of the Institute to the more voluminous rivers of humanitarian research of the national cultural heritage; presentation in a series of scientific works to Ukrainian and foreign scientists of problems, processes, styles, industries that show Ukrainian music as a component of the world civilization process, while revealing its originality and self-sufficiency; substantiation of the need to continue the specified interdisciplinary studies of domestic musical culture.
