The study identifies scientifically grounded approaches to the analysis, search for solutions, forecasting and transformation of architectural objects and spaces at various hierarchical levels. Particular attention is paid to the development of a methodology for combining scientific (knowledge) and emotional-creative (values) in the processes of forming the architecture of public facilities and urban spaces, as well as the creativity of architectural solutions based on the requirements of meritocentrism (knowledge and values). The use of the proposed changes and additions to the methodology of architectural activity will contribute to the improvement of the architecture and spaces of modern Ukrainian cities and the preservation of the uniqueness of their architectural environment.
