The research project aims to: Investigate topical issues in plant production and related scientific fields; provide a theoretical justification for the mechanisms of resistance in agricultural crops to bio-, abiotic, and anthropogenic stresses by studying the functioning of stress-protective systems in cereals; preserve and utilize the genetic diversity of field crops concerning their adaptability to agro-climatic conditions; develop stress-resistant cultivars and hybrids of agricultural crops; and investigate changes in soil fertility and weed infestation within field crop rotations under the influence of anthropogenic and abiotic factors
