Based on modern methodological principles and the current level of historical information, the project aims to conduct scientific research and scientific-theoretical analysis, to identify common and specific features in the historical and cultural, socio-political development, state-building and international relations of European nations (20th – first quarter of the 21st century), as well as to study European-Ukrainian mutual influences against the backdrop of deepening globalisation and transformation processes, in particular the emergence and evolution of the idea of pan-European identity and European unity, which is being realised today in the process of European integration with the participation of independent Ukraine
