The research will involve a comprehensive analysis of the primary limiting factors for achieving stable maize grain yields and the adjustment of basic breeding models for hybrids capable of withstanding adverse biotic and abiotic factors. The project will be based on an extensive evaluation of the breeding value of the working germplasm collection, considering integral selection criteria and mechanisms behind the formation of valuable economic traits
