The purpose of the work is to comprehensively understand the evolution of visual images, as well as to identify artistic and stylistic transformations in the decorative art of Ukraine in the 20th - first quarter of the 21st century in such of its most developed and modernized varieties as ceramics, decorative painting, embroidery, carving, carpet weaving, jewelry art, which have firmly established and extremely powerful national traditions. Studying them in a single artistic context together with an in-depth analysis of the individual and collective contribution of a wide range of folk masters and professional artists in the process of developing Ukrainian art in general and the formation of the stylistics of the decorative art of Ukraine in particular, will provide a basis for determining the main factors of the progress of this artistic field in the above-mentioned historical period.
