popup.description1
Project Objective – development of the fundamental basis for creating advanced manufacturing technologies for gray cast iron of various classes and grades, as well as a methodological framework to ensure its required chemical composition and physico-mechanical properties when using charge components and modifiers of highly unstable composition. The project aim involves the development of effective approaches, techniques, mathematical models, and algorithms for controlling and adjusting the chemical composition of synthetic gray iron at the stages of charge preparation and directly during the melting and casting processes. It also includes solving the classic scientific and technical problem: chemical composition – properties of iron-carbon alloys, specifically gray cast iron.
We emphasize that the stated objective will be achieved through the application of new approaches, effective techniques, and methods for charge formation, adjustment of its chemical composition directly during melting, and prediction of the structure and properties of castings using the Monte Carlo method and thermal derivative analysis (TDA).
